Stickann is a German ready to wear brand that provides designs focusing on gender fluidity.
Focusing on pattern making which works against a binary gender mindset, Stickann provides pieces, that include all types of genders and bodies by also focusing on sustainability at the same time.
Its value chain from production to logistics is all made in Germany, while the supply of raw materials is divided between Germany and Italy.
Stickann focuses on the use of nature based fabrics and resources such as linen and silk
The brand uses deadstock fabrics for samples and tries to use them for details as well as lining. It also tries to reuse fabrics of earlier collections and integrate them in upcoming collections.
The brand has visited almost all of its suppliers in order to be aware of its workers conditions.
In terms of development activity, Stickann uses part of the materials from its old stock for the prototypes production.
Between 40 and 60% of its packaging is recycled.
The brand is equipped with an evacuation plan in its company building.
Stickann allows smart working to its employees in order to better balance their private life and work.

Is your communication properly inspired by your level of sustainability? What should you do to improve it? Sustainability is an indispensable need. Our communication, in general, is more about the design and the aesthetics of our brand as well as the gender inclusive mindest that we want to spread. Nevertheless we could implement our sustainable aspects in order to show that sustainability and design can be combined. |

Where do you produce your items? We focus on a domestic sourcing and production which means that we produce everything in our own atelier or in productions in Germany that we corporate with. To keep distances short we just order fabrics from Europe or Germany. |
