Rose Moreno is a brand featured by nnique pieces designed and made in Mexico, uniting traditional textile techniques and contemporary design, promoting artisan livelihood.
The brand is collecting money to launch the first capsule collection on kick starter: https://www.kickstarter.com
The supply chain is very short and from raw materials to packaging is made in Mexico. The brand aims to support local artisans ("we never haggle their prices") and the preservation of textile machinery.
Most of raw materials are composed by organic cotton with no used of any chemical elements (this is certified by the agricultural university of Santillo).
The pricing is super transparency thanks to the garment labels that disclose the production times, costs and final prices.
Packaging is in paper/recycled cardboard based or compostible mailers.

What does sustainable fashion mean to you? - Durability - Adopting fair work practices - Minimal use of chemical elements |
What would you like the priorities of your target customer to be? - Quality - Comfort - Brand - Sustainability |
Do you know Agenda 2030 and any of its goals? Are you insired from them? I am very inspired by them and think that every single company should be working with these goals. My project sets to contribute to the self-empowerment of the artisans and makers with whom I work- they set their price and I will NEVER haggle. The aim is to work with them to evaluate the pricing structure, as I believe them to be under-charging for their skills. This in turn improves their overall quality of life! I also work with both men and women- women primarily, however I work with talent and respect the conditions and pay that they each set for themselves. My brand uses only natural raw materials, a great majority is organic and from a regenerative crop system. And we use manual weaving techniques, so the majority of our supply chain uses little energy. Our message is also about timeless and versatile design, so that the pieces will last a long time responsible consumption. |
Have you ever done donations? Since How long? Do you think you will do that in the future with your company? Yes, I did a solidary facemask sale with the artisans, with all proceeds going to the artisans and 15%to a foundation for medical equipment for the pandemic in Mexico. |
