Camco is an Italian activewear brand founded in 2018 which focuses on the use of a fabric without synthetic fibres and a strictly Italian production.
The main focus is, and wants to be, on materials and on the philosophy of sustainable production and made in Italy.
Its value chain from production to logistics is almost completely focused in Italy. Its raw materials are sourced in Austria and Argentina.
More precisely, its production is made in Thiene (VI), Andria (BA).
About its raw materials 100% of the sourced materials are from natural origin. Indeed, all Camco products are made by cutting and sewing a fabric consisting of only two fibers of natural origin: extra-fine merino wool, certified organic GOTS, mulesing-free and TENCEL™ lyocell, a fiber of botanical origin obtained from wood pulp from certified forests by using a highly sustainable process.
The development activity of its prototypes is made with materials already in stock in order not to waste new items.
About its packaging, products are stored each one in a LDPE bag (100% recycled and 100% recyclable material).
The brand has a verified paid social security contribution and an ethical code which includes sustainable issues.
It provides general service for free in office (ex. water/coffee for free/metal bottle) and allows remote working depending on employees' needs.
Camco organizes meeting and webinars among its employees in order to discuss about sustainable topics such as climate change and fair working conditions.
The brand has been Sponsor for the 2021 calendar of Arca Dei Cani Onlus.
The brand provides care and washing information, pointing out that wool and TENCEL(TM) do not need to be washed as often as other fibers as they do not easily let odor grow nor these fibers easily became soaked in sweat.

Who is behind Camco? Born in Milan in the early 70s and living for decades in the province of Como, with an engineering background and varied work experience, Matteo decided to try his hand in the textile-clothing sector, in which he had no experience whatsoever, following his dream of creating a line of activewear. |
