Nazareth brand was born in Portugal in 2013.
The brand gives a high attention to raw materials sourcing and all production phases.
First choice in raw materials is Dead-Stocks in order to reduce water consumption and its subsequent treatment.
A very interesting material used by Nazareth is the Lyocell. Lyocell is a fibre obtained from wood pulp, a common by-product from other industries; it is therefore the essence of resource saving. Lyocell’s production has a low environmental impact in itself, since the fibre’s extrusion process counts on reutilisation of 99.8% of the chemical solvents.
The dyes used by Nazareth are water-based and free from heavy metals (GOTS and OEKO-TEC certified ecological dyes). This means that after printing, they only need to be dried in a hood via evaporation.
Digital printing is an ecological technology, nearly exempt from water consumption. It consists of inserting a role in the printing machine, where it is then unfolded and printed; after this, the printed fabric is dried in a hood, which allows the dyes to stabilize with no need for the traditional consecutive washings. This means it is ready to cut – with no water waste.
The production is made in Barcelos, where also the packaging is purchased and where is based the logistic dpt.
Nazareth allows also the "giving back" to their customers when they don't use anymore old Nazareth items in order to guarantee the recycling of the materials.
